POSITION - Accountant / Full Charge Bookkeeper

DEPARTMENT - Accounting

COMPENSATION - $45,000 - $60,000

Position Overview

We are seeking an energetic person to handle the day to day, monthly, and annual accounting transactions and reporting. Must be personable, problem solver, and enjoy working with people. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

What We’ll Expect

Responsibilities

Daily and monthly accounting transactions and processes
Timely records accounts payable transactions, including bills and payments
Processes payments using checks, credit cards and wire transfers
Manages accounts receivable, includes creating customer invoices and payments
Records customer payments
Records monthly bank transactions
Records credit card transactions
Reconciles monthly bank and credit card statements
Manages incoming credit card transactions including issuing refunds as required
Reviews and records adjusting entries as needed
Files annual personal property tax and business license
Handles cash for field personnel

Qualifications

Understand basic principles of accounting
Able to set and adhere to monthly closing deadlines
Frequent interaction with internal team and external customers
Must be good with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Experience with Quickbooks desktop
Review and analyze large volume of transactions
Comfortable with extracting and formatting data is a plus
Able to handle large volume of transactions requiring attention to detail
Good communication skills, oral and written
Minimum 5 years experience in accounting related position
Minimum of associate degree in accounting
